Sitting on the beach

watching the rising sun
holding hands

just listening to the waves

of the sea.

Thinking about how

All started.

I remember …

The first time we

Looked at each other

Not over the shoulder

Not staring through us

Just Holding eye contact…

Realizing

I’m truly at peace…

 

Silence controls me

I could “talk” for hours like that.

 

You know about

My inability to voice

My thoughts

Sometimes.

You’re waiting

Whispering “Take all the time you need…”

You always do this.

You’re kissing me, smiling

“The most beautiful words are

Those you don’t say…”

 

Trusting became like

Breathing.

Breathing became like

Living.

Life became love.

 

Love is meaning in words

Unspoken.

 

I’m so happy,

So very happy.
