Why, "don't tell my mom"? I am mystified as to why he said that.
How are we? We are not bad. Rachel left Australia and now is vacationing on the rest of her savings in Hawaii, where she had been going to school before the "spring semester abroad" in SE Australia (near Melbourne).
Raoul died June 19, although I didn't post about it until a month later, July 15. I just wasn't up to it.
Pixie, who had been perking up after our trip out east for a family reunion, became suddenly very ill and she died June 16, the day after I posted about Raoul.
Writing the entry was a huge help to me, trying to take it all in and process it, because it was so sudden to me.
Angelo, Pixie's son, is our only cat now. He still is very lonely, although she's been dead for almost two weeks. He's never been an only cat. We have reserved a new kitten with a breeder that raises cats like Pixie, but the kittens won't be available to adopt until November. He'll just have to learn to be patient, as will we all.
