I like this view of Zeke. It sounds like perfect freedom, almost a child's freedom, to be exactly who he wants to be. But there's darkness too. His intensity comes not only from passion -

He knows that sometimes the
truth is more scaring than a lie.
I sense the madness.
I sense the fear…
the danger…


What is this truth? Is the danger only the risk they run in their love for each other?

But when our hot bodies join
under the night sky
I know
It’s all worth it.
He’s worth it.


Fear is submerged in living for the moment. This conjures the two of them sneaking off into the countryside, into the woods, somewhere secret and secluded to be wild and free together. There's a powerful ache of longing in the last stanza. To be so close, and yet so unsure. I hope their heated passion evolves into true and lasting love.
