Here is our newest family member - Leila!
When we went to the animal shelter today and I saw her I had to weep. Yes, it's a good choice that we took her home to us.
She's very VERY shy but she loves our cats. At the moment she's sitting under my bed, snuggling up with Lily and Frida. Most important -she's HEALTHY!!!
Thank you my friends, for all your love and support to my last post. I come back to every single one of you.
Today it was another hard day because I had to bury Micky. The place I've chosen is under my blue summer lilac - I'm sure she'd have liked it there.
Now I'll play a little bit with my little rascals and then I'll go to bed - carefully ... that I won't scare Leila.

"Dammit, cat, that's not yours!" Zeke snapped. He remembered vaguely that thing about handling baby birds. A kitten that didn't have its eyes open yet, taken away from its litter, was Dead Cat Walking.
Wiggle. Mew.
Cursing, Zeke found a clean washcloth and used it to pick up the kitten. He left his lab a step behind Case's darting through the cat-door and headed out where the tabby bounded. If you lead me to a trucker with a broken leg at the bottom of Red Rock Canyon, Case, you're going on Stupid Pet Tricks.
Not a trucker and not a broken leg. Four little scrawny bodies in the grass, already buzzing with flies; no sign of a mother cat. Crap. So cats could be shitty loser parents too. The tiny scrap of black fur in Case's hand was the biggest and strongest of the abandoned litter.
Case rumbled. And he looked right at Zeke.
"Get this through your peanut brain, Case," Zeke said slowly. "I am not getting another cat. I am not looking at another cat. I am not taking in another cat. I am not going to adopt another fucking cat!"

Casey picked up the phone. "Hey, baby. Looking forward to tonight." He felt the ache and grinned. No bishop-flogging for him these days...
"Yeah, about that. Could you do me a favor?"
"Sure. Pick up something from the store? Dude, don't tell me you're out of lube?" Casey's face changed. "Baby formula?"
"Yeah. I'll explain when you get here. Dammit."
