All the preparations are done!
announcement at the registry office, restaurants, invitations, flowers, car and the wardrobe.
I organized it withing three days, YAY! And now I have to wait and be happy. And I AM VERY HAPPY!

But I have no clue about little give aways for my guests. Hmmm... Any suggestions?

And this is my hat!

I still have to walk on crutches but it becomes better with every day. No pains anymore and that's fantastic! The meniscus rupture is fixed but sooner or later I'll have to get a new knee joint. But this can wait :-)) Hey, I'll walk slowlier and all will be good for the next years. And I got a new bicycle! When I was young (maaaany years ago *g*) I loved bicycling daily ! And now - hmmm... I've become quite a lazy bone but I'll change this when I can put the crutches back to the corner :-)) Hey, this means I could need another hat *snickers* !

How's your day, f-list? It's a wonderful feeling to be back here again!
My mom is on the way to me - she'll do my laundry (Wolfi's mom already did the washing, my mom will iron every single bit - God save the moms!).

All in all I'm happy, excited and bouncy!

My day will be busy, but you have my admiration, putting a wedding together on such short notice! What an accomplishment!

As for small gifts, what about some pretty but inexpensive necklaces? My daughter did that and the bridesmaids chose to wear them during the wedding. They looked LOVELY and didn't really cost much. Men are more difficult.

Hugs,
Rach

*hugs and hugs*

I have no clue about little gifts, eep, I am terrible at planning details of a party/wedding etc. I know you will come up with something perfect!

Wow! Three days? You are an amazing woman. I adore your hat - I hope there will be pictures here after the wedding. *big obvious hint*

Gifts? Well are they for all the guest or the wedding attendants? If just for the wedding attendants, necklaces for the women and money clips for the men are some quick thought ideas.

If they are for all your guests, It's so hard to give one thing that everyone would like, or use, but maybe something like Jordan almonds (and if it will be cool where the gifts are) some nice chocolates, tied up with netting and curling ribbon might be nice.

I'm thrilled to hear that you are getting better every day. I was going to start riding my bike again this summer, but it's just been too hot.

My day will be wonderful, thank you, love. I've got a couple of friends coming over for lunch and the afternoon. We may just sit around and talk or possibly go to a movie. In either case, I love getting together with these friends.

*squishes you*

I'm sure the excitement for the wedding is helping you get better faster, so YEY for weddings! hope you can trash those crutches fast and enjoy the open air on your bike. and hey, even if you have to walk slower, that's just more time to take in the scenery :)

Oh, LOVE the hat! It sounds as if everything is coming together wonderfully. Yay for helpful moms!

My wedding was a super cheap do-it-all-yourself 70's one, so no gifties. The guests just got to finish off the cheap champagne and market deli platters in the park after we took off. :D

But, hey. Who doesn't like chocolate?

Wow! Go you for pulling a wedding together so quickly and nicely! Love the hat, too :)

My thoughts: Probably the easiest gift for guests would be something like a small box containg a chocolate truffle. One wedding I went to had candles (a little larger than "votive" size) for the guests to take home. For your attendants, something a little more special. Silver keyring? Small crystal vase?

I am very happy for you. Your hat looks lovely.

My goodness, what a whirlwind you are! I'm glad things are going so well in preparing for the wedding, and very glad to know you're healing up so well.

That's a darling hat. What does your dress look like?

I'm so glad you're back with us. *hugs*

I'm sorry about your poor knee but how wonderful that your preparations are done and now you can relax and enjoy your celebration. The hat is gorgeous! Are you going to be baking the cake?

All my loving wishes for a tremendous time. Thinking about you xx

You sound in excellent spirits, Julchen. I'm so pleased! And that's great you're getting a new bicycle. I love riding mine, even if it's not possible to bike ride here half the year. I'll bet you'll be on it everyday, once you are able.

Wow, you have the wedding all in hand already?! Goodness! As for gifties....well, I have no idea what your customs are, but in looking on German ebay, i found some cool bubbles:

30 Wedding Bubbles "Glimmer",Seifenblasen,Hochzeit

(i won't send you the link, as it is about 30 pages long, lol). But seeing those bubbles, with their sparklies, reminded me of you: whimsical, romantic, *sparkly*. With your talent for calligraphy, it would be easy and cool to make little tags with your names and the date and attach with a ribbon that matches your 'colors' to the bubbles.

But i also love the idea of a little box with a single chocolate (or a handful) ....maybe a Hershey's "kiss"? in white tulle, with a card with your names and date.

If you are having the reception at home....you have such a lovely garden that perhaps you could gift each of the attendees with a single flower from it, with a name tag with their name and yours and the date, placed by their plate as not only gift but to mark where they are sitting.....

in the US, it is popular now to give gel candles for wedding gifties. These can also be personalized using a silver or gold indelible marker pen, putting the names and dates on the outside.

You have such wonderful calligraphy skills, dear Julchen, that it would be a pity NOT to give your guests something with your lovely scribing upon it. For me, I should love it if you'd write a little poem on love (or print one of your favorites) on ivory heavy-stock, putting your names and the date on it.

I'm so glad that you are feeling better, dear!

Wow, I can't believe you've already finished all the planning--I know it will be absolutely wonderful! I love hats, and this one is so lovely! I really do hope you'll post pictures--once you get back from your honeymoon, of course! I haven't been to a wedding in about 3 years, and there weren't really any gifts for guests, just the wedding party (bridesmaids/groomsmen). I do like the idea of small bundles of chocolate or perhaps a small candle though. Whatever you decide, I know that a good time will certainly be had by everyone! *squishes*

YAY for the wedding and for you feeling better ^____________^
I'm pretty sure your wedding will be wonderful and magic!

Give aways for the guest?
Well, I don't know what you mean by that... But for my wedding I made cute little bags full of sugared almond, they were the same colours as my dress^^

Your hat is beautiful^^ What about your dress?^^

Take care♄
