Happy Froday!!!

Good morning f-list! Weekend is close :)
Enjoy this beautiful day!
I just fed Josh and he's very playful and cheerful these days.
It's always hard to leave ...

Title: Sea's call
Pairing: F/S
Rating: G

I love to be with you.

Even for a short time.

It breaks my heart

To know you

Alone

After the quest

At Bag End.

You’re not happy

You  try

Not to show it.

In the shadows

Of the dark

I can feel it even more…

I don’t know how long

It will last.

I won’t cry

When it’s over…

I’ll smile that it

Happened.

This will be even harder.

You’ll leave.

Soon.

The sea’s call

Becomes louder.

I can see it in your eyes.

I can feel it in my heart.

Last night

You whispered

In my ears

True love never

Says good-bye.

True love grows old.

Tears leaked from the corners of your eyes.
Tears of

sadness, tears of despair …

tears of hope, too.

If time would be an ocean
We could sail away…
Exploring the unknown …

Just you and me…
 Ill take care –
This is my task.
Is it a task?

I’ll sail us home

When the time is right...

Love,
Julchen

"I won’t cry

Ooooooh, that's like a quote I used at my dad's funeral. What a beautiful poem.

Thank you, my dear. Thank you so much!
My dad said this to me when I was a child loosing one of my school mates.

This was so beautiful and sad how powerful this is.

- That's our Sam. Another lovely one, my dear.

I'm glad Josh is doing so well. *pets him*

What a beautiful and haunting piece.

"The sea’s call
Becomes louder.
I can see it in your eyes.
I can feel it in my heart."

This is like a sad echo of Galadriel's premonitions. Perhaps he sees the restlessness in Frodo's sea-blue eyes. Perhaps he feels him drifing further from him day by day.

"If time would be an ocean
We could sail away…
Exploring the unknown …"

This is amazing. I had to really think about this one. If time was an ocean, you could journey anywhere upon it, even back to where you started and stay as long as you wished in any place. Do you know string theory? *g* Cause I think that's something like it. I love to think of your F/S as voyagers in time and Valinor is their unchanging harbour.

"This is my task.
Is it a task?
I’ll sail us home
When the time is right..."

Sam's Quest was always to save Frodo and he doesn't relinquish it even in parting. Nothing done from so much love can be a burden to him. He'll wait, as loyally as he journeyed forth, for "true love grows old" without withering.

I had tears reading this, it was so lovely. That pic above is the point where I start crying in RotK and don't stop.

Thank you Julchen *hugs*

Watching this scene in RotK when Frodo walks alone in his smial made me cry, this is for me the most heartbreaking moment in the trilogy.
If time would be an ocean ... when this little line was written I sat there for one hour thinking about it.
You've been crying? I was weeping, too, while writing.
Thank you so much, my dear. I'm so glad you like it and very relieved ...
*hugs you very long*

I’ll sail us home
When the time is right...

So beautiful, and hopeful, despite the sorrow.

Thank you for these gifts of love you bring us daily.

*hugs to Josh*

Thank you soooo much, Belle!
It's not that easy for me to write F/S because of the Shire language.
I'm still struggling with English and Shire-ish is different and sometimes very difficult :-)
I'm so glad it worked for you, my dear.

*hugs from me and licks from Josh*

Beautiful. I love waking up to see what you've written.

*hugs for you and Josh*

Awww, thank you, Tari! Another time you made me smile.
Be warned - I'm not finished! LOL.

*biggest hugs from me and sloppy licks from Josh*

Oh, so sad but hopeful! Love this, my dear.

Thanks so much, love.

The poem and that picture of Frodo alone, surrounded by shadows, complement each other beautifully.

You’ll leave.
Soon.
The sea’s call
Becomes louder.
I can see it in your eyes.
I can feel it in my heart.

So eloquent. Sam knows he's going to lose Frodo for a while. But they'll be together again. That's the hope that makes the ending of the book bearable.

Especially this sequence - Frodo alone at Bag End - made me cry for hours and I couldn't stop.
We know that he'll meet Sam again - as you said - the hope makes the ending of the book (and movie) bearable.
Thank you, Julia. Thank you so much!

I hope you had a beautiful day :)

I'm so glad you like it, my dear.
I'm glad it's Friday - though this day wasn't that bad :-)

Love you,
Julchen

The last part of the book in ROTK always makes me feel melancholy and movie did those last moments so beautifully. This poem captures that so well. Thanks for this.

Thank YOU, my dear, for your wonderful words!

[identity profile] elderberrywine.livejournal.com 2008-06-28 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, this is haunting.

True love never

Says good-bye.

And this is so very, very true.

Beautiful, my dear! And yay for a cheerful Josh!

Thank you, darling! I'm so glad you like it ...
I'll never say good-bye :-)

I’ll sail us home
When the time is right...

That's a beautiful and hopeful ending to the sadness of the earlier parts. Thanks, Julchen.
