 The snow lies warm as a blanket
 upon the window sill.
The stillness of the morning is impressive.
Silently I open the door
to face the cutting air.
I have to smile -
yesterday the first time in my life
I had ice cream in winter.
On our way back home Casey
made snow angels.
Lots of it.
All in my backyard.

I can still see the angel's
print.
It's beautiful, too.
And so is he.
 
I love winter.

It's been snowing in several countries during the last couple of days. There's snow in Italy too, but not in Rome (unfortunately, because I love it!!).
