My heart has many doors.

You unlock them

day by day

one after the other

with your patience

with your trust

 

And I

didn’t notice it

far too long.

 

But you do it

anyway.

Constantly.

 

I didn’t realize

it was me

handing you

the key

to my heart

the very first  moment

we met.

 

I’m glad I did.

I’m glad you know

how to use the key

and not

using me.
