Hello f-list,

it seems I'll be back Sunday afternoon, can't tell you how much I missed you all.
Garden works are nearly finished (thanks God, I can feel every single bone and muscle) -
the flowers are full in bloom and tomorrow I'll get (hopefully) my new garden bench.

My did was at home for a few days but he my mom had to take him back to hospital yesterday because of another heart attack. Today he called us and he felt much better. It seems he's finally going to accept that he's not a 20-year-old-never-get-tired-man anymore. He's 72 and I hope he'll take care of himself now.

I'm doing very well (besides a massive sore muscles), weekend should be very relaxing so there will be some time for writing :-)

Ich liiiiiebe Lavendel, schon immer. Meine Oma hatte mächtige Büsche in ihrem Garten und ich habe stundenlang nur dagelegen und den Duft eingeatmet. Pflegeleicht sind sie, wenn man nicht vergisst sie zu gießen *g* so wie ich ihm letzten Jahr.

So langsam geht's im besser. Aber er ist nicht gerade das, was man einen Musterpatienten nennt *seufz*, manchmal halt ein bisschen stur. Letztendlich hat er aber doch begriffen, dass die Schritte etwas langsamer werden müssen und er keine Bäume mehr ausreißen kann.

Ich bin mir sicher, dass du eines Tages meinen Lavendel sehen kannst *Daumen drück*

Und ja daaaaanke für deine e-Mail, ich bin eine entsetzliche Schnecke!!! Ich liebe deine Mehls aus dem Auenland und ich freu mich, dass es dich gefreut hat.

LOL! I wish you could have seen my new lavender I got last year. I just didn't think about watering this little green plant. At the end it looked more than a besom ...

I googled jacaranda trees. Goodness, they look so great!
They'd look great in my garden as well :-))

The problem was he didn't see himself that ill but now he understands and hopefully he'll react to this. He is very strong and I'm sure he'll make it.

I love lavender, always have, always will. It's such a hobbity plant and so beautiful blue *sigh*

What beautiful lavender! I used to have several lavender bushes in my yard, but for some reason, they keep dying. I think they are very particular about how much water they get.

Gosh, what a scare for you all, but particularly your dad. Is it going to be a good scare, do you think? Maybe he will be more careful about how he goes about things from day to day. But what a time you all must have had. Your lavendar patch looks like the place to let go of tension. If that doesn't work, you can work in the garden another day. Then you'll be too tired to worry! The lavender is so beautiful. I'm so sorry about your dad's illness. It's not easy to accept old age gracefully, I know. I hope he will take good care of himself now.
