When Mr. Bilbo took you

My senses became alive -

colors seemed brighter,

sounds more resonant,

smells were more powerful.

In all this years

this hasn’t changed –

not even when you had

to go.

 

 

It wasn’t love you said

only yesterday

And yet it was …

this special kind of love.

I replied

silently.      

 

I knew when

the time was right,

when I had to go, too.

Home.

To you.

To your home.

That is my home now, too.

For so many years.

 

We are old now, Mr. Frodo -

But here in Tol Eressa

we will always be
