cat week
What a week!
4 weeks ago we got a newbie. She's called Leonie. We got her from the animal shelter where she lived for about 4 years (much too long). Wolfgang found her on the internet and it was the moment when we knew - this little one needed a new home. She was very shy and nervous, we didn't see her for days. It was a good thing that I had to spend nearly 3 weeks at home so she could get used at leas to me. And that she did.
Last week she followed me step by step, her favourite place (besides my bed)is the kitchen. There are so many things to discover, to play with and to enjoy - the shyness slowly fades away. Yesterday she gave permission to me stroking her for 3 times. What an incredible feeling! And she's a singer, talking to me all the time. Now and then she's spitting and scratching but only once the day :-))
And here she is - Leonie

Then I had to go to the vet with one of my older cats, Frida - to get one tooth removed. She's doing well and this morning she ate that much as if she would be starving.
that's Frida

Bibi - is just a sweetheart

and so is Leila - she's soooo wonderful. She was as shy as Leonie and now she's almost glued to us,
favourite place? Kitchen and bed of course.
Leila

and Hedwig-Molly tries always to be the model, LOL
Hedwig-Molly looking for flies...

I'm sure you remember the tailless cat - Josh - we've found 2 years ago.
Last night I could hear him screaming, he didn't come home for 10 days and I learned just yesterday that a women locked him up. I got up and walked in the dark at 2.am. for about 1 hour until I could free him. What an image. He was so thin, eyes swollen and 2 legs broken so I visited the vet and all he could do was putting him to sleep because the injuries were too bad.
After this I called the police and indicated the crime. One of the other neighbours saw this 'lady' beating Josh and he did ... nothing! But thanks to God he told me about it and he'll testify against her. They are on their way to me. I'm sad and angry. I can't understand that people can be so cruel. I never will.
But now Josh is on a better place. I can see him sitting beside my father (who loved cats as much as I do) snuggling on his lap and enjoying the peace around him. But I'll miss him as much as I miss my other cats who're joining my dad.
Hey Dad, take good care of this little sweetheart.
And now the policemen are here. I'll keep you informed.
Thanks for listening.

I'm so sorry to hear about Josh. I don't understand how anyone can do this to another fellow being. *hugs*
But I'm glad to read, that another homeless kitty is save at your place. Thanks for sharing the lovely pics of your friends with us.

I feel for your loss, my dear and hope that that woman is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. *weeps and hugs you tight*

Your other kitties look all healthy and happy, which doesn't come as a surprise, seeing as how you take care of them:)

Though, it's good to know that you succeeded on freeing Josh and be there for him when he needed. I'm sure he's gone happier.
*HUGS*
All of your kitties are adorable! Even Frida (though she looks scary XD)
Welcome to Leonie! I'm pretty sure she'll be more than happy to live with you all♥

I hope someone beats the woman who hurt poor Josh. I don't know how people can be so cruel, either. *sad* RIP little Josh.

I'll never stop to fight for the rights for animals.
Never ever!
My kitties are lucky ... but I'm the lucky one having them around.

I'm glad Leonie is here now though she's having a bad day today. She's trying to get the Queen here - but Frida had a word with her and now it's silent :-))
*hugs YOU*

She'll get what she deserves (so the policemen said) and hopefully she has to pay lots of money!
*leans on you*

There will be a newspaper article on Monday or Tuesday. This won't help Josh but knowing him safe makes me feel better.

I love my cats, the old ones, the ill ones, the youngsters.
they are all very special and I'm glad to be their guest.

Our newbie is a pirate, always curious, adventurous and scratching, LOL. At the moment she's in my bed sleeping like an angel but this can change every minute :-)) But it's much better than the weeks before. I'm sure she'll trust us one day.

Leonie is a darling and she knows it being a princess and pirate at the same time.
*clings to you*

I think my kitties simply accepted me as their guest :-))

I'll never stop to fight for the rights of animals.
And I'm sure I'll see all my kitties one day again, absolutely sure.

The women will get what she deserves, cruelty to animals deserves the maximum penalty.

I'll fight for the rights of my little Josh. Who else would do it if I wouldn't?
My door is always open, it doesn't matter how many cats are still living with us - there's always a place for a poor little one who needs help.
I'm always trying to be a good host - it seems to work: my cats are treating me with respect, love and gratefulness. That makes me sooo happy!

Frida - she's such a darling and usually doesn't look that grumpy. I guess she just had toothache still. At the moment she's laying on Wolfgang's stomach and they both are snoring like mad !
I'm sure Leonie just needs some time to get used to her new home.
*hugs back close*

I'm sure Leonie will soon settle in. Your home is a refuge for the lost and the lonely. Your beloved kitties can feel the warmth and love that you give them as soon as they arrive. They're so lucky. *hugs*

Let us what happens with that evil woman!
*HUGS YOU TIGHT*

How could that guy do nothing when he saw that woman hurting Josh? And she locked him up? OMG - that is beyond cruelty. I hope the police will lock her up.
I think it's sweet that you have brindled kitties, except for Hedwig-Molly. And Bibi has eyes like my Sophie.
Take care, sweetie. Leonie is so lucky to have you.
