What would life be without music, the second,If you are not interested in violines - just skip this

Hello, hello,

isn't it beautiful you have so much time you don't know what to do ?
As if I wouldn't know what I like to do ...

I watched the movie "Paganini: The Devil's Violinist''.
Hmm... the movie wasn't that good but the music, David Garrett's playing on the violine is breathtaking.
And the guy himself doesn't look that "bad", LOL.

I found this on youtube and it's amazing. Nicole Scherzinge is an amazing singer and David Garrett - let's simply say - he's an eyecatcher.
For those who are interested.

I don't understand anything Nicole is singing but this doesn't matter, goosebumps guaranteed - at least for me.

And this one is one of my favourites, somewhere there must be the CD...

Previously I watched a concert of him on  TV - he's living music through and through.
The expression on his face says it all.

And of course a photo is a must see!

David Garret1

Have a wonderful day, you all!!!

oh, he's not too hard to look at is he? And that is beautiful playing, to match his lovely face.

(do you like also Joshua Bell and Nigel Kennedy? Oh, Nigel ROCKS! Joshua did the music for the movie Red Voilin (a must see) What about Lili Haydn and Nadja Salerno? Ah, those are the ladies of violin!)

here is a link to the cd you are looking for:

Thanks a lot, I just ordered the CD :-)

Joshua Bell - oh yes, I once saw a show with him and he played Tchaikovsky.
Nigel Kennedy - no, I don't know him - I have to ask Mrs. Youtube :-)
And the ladies Lili Haydn and Naja Salerno? Outstanding musician/artists, right ?

[identity profile] jan-u-wine.livejournal.com 2015-01-03 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, you saw Bell? Lucky, lucky! Nigel Kennedy....yes, I think you must YT, as I don't believe he tours outside of England......Lili is over here, don't know if she tours. But she's ....different. Nadja, I saw in concert once and she is BRILLIANT. and what a lovely rapport with other musicians. Humble, making art together....... oh and glad you could get the cd! try this Nadja: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPwsEdrft6w

[identity profile] julchen11.livejournal.com 2015-01-03 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Josshua Bell is a magician with his violine, no doubt. Nigel Kennedy - I will look around at youtube tomorrow (can't wait for it) and you saw Nadja??!! Wonderful.
Thanks a lot for the link, I'm speechless - it's a gift listening to her... makes my heart sing - me, too, LOL.
Thank you so much, Jan.
tonight I watched the New Year Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic on TV playing fascinating music of the Strauss Dynastie. It was great!

[identity profile] jan-u-wine.livejournal.com 2015-01-04 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
here is a good link for Nigel, i think you will enjoy

Oh, dear, that IS a very....long link. Nadja was wonderful. I sat in the "cheap" seats, which were BEHIND the orchestra. From there, I could see the musicians wonderfully, see every little unscripted movement, see Nadja's interaction with them. Cheap seats for me, always!

[identity profile] julchen11.livejournal.com 2015-01-04 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you so much, Jan. Nigel's play is excellent and he's a real musician playing with his heart. you can see this.

The second link - was Nigel again.
But I watched at youtube Nadia playing Mendelson's Violin concerto - wow! She's really amazing.
And you saw here live? That mast have been a great experience and very exciting I bet.
Thank you so much, my dear. I enjoye every single note they play.

[identity profile] jan-u-wine.livejournal.com 2015-01-04 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
oh.....was there two links there? Ha ha....well, Nigel is worth it. I wish he'd come to the States and play....but he doesn't.

Nadja is wonderful. I love her. It was fantastic to hear her play, especially with the seats I had (they were the cheapest seats in the house...and the best!)

love to you, dear Julchen!

He is a pretty boy isn't he? Thanks for the links, he plays pretty, too. :)

[identity profile] julchen11.livejournal.com 2015-01-03 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely pretty, no doubt :-)
I'm glad you liked it, sweetheart!
Have a fantastic day!

Lovely music, thanks for posting.
I have a question and it shows my total ignorance, but why is he wearing an earphone. He IS playing, isn't he? Or is it play-back.

[identity profile] julchen11.livejournal.com 2015-01-03 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank YOU, my dear.
I watched a documentary last months and he said he never plays play-back at his concerts. He wears the earphone just to hear his play. I strolled around at youtube today and I'm totally hooked. I wish I could see him live but the tickets are very expensive *sigh* But no lament, I can listen to this magical music all day long at home :-) and I ordered several CD's today!!!
*twirls you around*

If you are interested, here is an English translation of the song Nicole Scherzinger is singing.

The girl who plays the love interest in the movie is beautiful. I don't know who she is, do you?

In the US, Nicole is known for her pop music and the girl band The Pussycat Dolls, but she is a classically trained singer. This is one of my favorite videos of her.

She's also a marvelous dancer.

I hope the videos play for you. Many videos won't play except in the US.

[identity profile] julchen11.livejournal.com 2015-01-06 10:24 am (UTC)(link)
Wow! Thank you , dear
The Phantom of the Opera is fantastic, Nicole sings great. I didn't know that.
And she's a marvellous dancer. *applause*

Thank you so much for the English translation, this helps a lot!

[identity profile] yeuxdebleu.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
I'm glad you were able to see the videos. I love Nicole, she's soooo talented. She's also beautiful. Her father is German and her mother is Hawaiian and she was born in Hawaii. However, when she was a child the family moved to the US mainland.

[identity profile] yeuxdebleu.livejournal.com 2015-01-06 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Oh my...David plays the Bach beautifully.

[identity profile] julchen11.livejournal.com 2015-01-06 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
I listened with my mouth open, he's marvellous, right ?

Oh and the girl playing his love interest in the movie is Andrea Deck. Nice voice she has.
But to tell the truth - Nicole is another level!

[identity profile] yeuxdebleu.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
I did a search at IMDb.com for the movie. It's called The Devil's Violinist and will be shown in the US beginning January 30. There are no movie theaters near me that show "art" films like this, but I will get the DVD.

Andrea Deck started taking singing lessons when she was only 8 years old and she also studied drama. She was also in Les Miserables and many other movies. I had never heard of her. I want to see the movie because of her as much as David Garrett.

Yes, she's a good singer, but as you said, Nicole is on another level.

[identity profile] yeuxdebleu.livejournal.com 2015-01-07 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Here is another video you will like. The man playing the cello often plays with a pianist and they have about 100 videos. I LOVE him. In this video he is playing music by Beethoven mixed with a song called "Secrets" by a very popular US band called One Republic. The orchestra is all teenagers from age 13 to age 18. They play from memory, no music, and I think they are wonderful.

Oh dear! This is so beautiful it makes me cry. Thank you so much! *hugs you very tight*

[identity profile] yeuxdebleu.livejournal.com 2015-01-11 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
The first time I heard it, I cried, too. It is so beautiful.
