all of these sorts of singers remind me of Jewel, by way of Patsy Cline, somehow.....unique sorts of phrasings, swallowing the notes/lyrics. It's really nice! have a good day, dear!

That's it! It felt familiar to me but I didn't know where to sort it *g*
I had a fantastic day, sweetie! How was yours?

Glad to hear the day went well! As you may or may not know, I'm a personal assistant to the president of (two) corporations. He's a very nice man. Ultimately, also a very frustrating man. Which is a way of saying that days seldom go well!

Presidents and CEO's can be really frustrating sometimes. On the one hand very charming, kind an nice, on the other hand annoying and stubborn. But it's on us how we interact with them.
I for myself can live with it. Hey, he is my boss, he pays me and he's not important in my privat life :-)
Today I got a little present of one of my customers. It was a small key ring with "I am happy" on it. when I called him he said - I saw it and I had to think of you, just a little thing to say thank you for your support and understandig. How nice is this ? He's now my number one and all his requests get the mark "priority 1" :-)

What a great thing that your customer sent you such a nice present! It surely is reflective of your inherent sweet and happy nature!

re my boss: relationships, in or out of the workplace, are complicated. All i can say is that i have worked with him for almost 9 years. I've outlasted every PA he's had. That says something, right there. Usually at the end of the year he comments on what I put up with from him. Yep. I was really hoping my book would be hugely successful and that i could retire or at least get a different, part time job, get away from the toxic workplace. Ha ha ha. That was a silly, silly hoping.

I just must remain and do the best i can until i really can retire.
