julchen11: (Frodo reading)
Hello friends,

finally spring is here. What a feeling.

I wonder if Sam started his works in Bag End's garden ...
This little poem always reminds me on Sam

The gardener's morning

The robin's song at daybreak
is a clarion call to me.
Get up and get out in the garden,
for the morning hours flee.

I cannot resist the summons,
what earnest gardener could?
For the golden hours of morning
get into gardener's blood.

The magic spell is upon me
I'm glad that I did not wait.
For life's at its best in the morning,
as you pass through the garden gate

Have a wonderful sunny spring day my friends.

Julchen

Lovely poem!

It's going to be a beautiful mild sunny day here. My snowdrops are blooming, and the first crocuses are starting to open their shy little eyes to the spring!

Gardening is a wonderful joy. I can't wait for things to dry out here to get started!

What a lovely poem - I can just picture Sam singing that to himself while he works. And we are even starting to see signs of spring here in New England!! Thanks so much - you always brighten my day with your posts.

It is warm today but not quite Spring, as we are to get snow this weekend. But I can smell it in the earth, and I can feel it in the air. It is soon now, very soon.

You'll get snow???? I'll have a word with Gandalf, LOL. He's a wizzard, I'm sure he knows what to do :-)

Thank you, dearie! Indoor plants can be a wonderful little garden.

Connection with gardens, even small ones, even potted plants,
can become windows to the inner life. The simple act of
stopping and looking at the beauty around us can be prayer.

Happy spring! Around here, spring means a lot of melting and puddles and we certainly have those. Not much in the way of green leaves or gardening yet. ;-)

Spring is a wonderful season, isn't it? Green leaves - not much to see here, too. But it's time for gardening, I can't hardly wait for the weekend! :)
