Wishing Star
Up in the sky,
a star so bright,
I shall make a wish
on this cold night.
I wish upon thee
to laugh and joke
to live happily
until I'm an old bloke
How I long to live
such an long, dear life
free of all chaos
and free from strife
Oh Wishing Star
how bright above me
How big you are
such a sight to see!
Happy Birthday my dear friend
May your days be full of sunshine and the nights full of magic and stars!
Lots of love and hugs,
Julchen

Date: 2007-10-20 09:18 am (UTC)From:I'm glad you like it, my dear. Oh yes, it makes me think of my own wishing star, too. When I was a child I often had a night walk with my father through the woods. We always stopped and rested just watching the stars in silence. Until today I'm still overwhelmed by the beauty of a clear night with millions of stars, now and then you can see a wishing star - this is what I call magic. My friends are stars, my wishing stars as well. As you say - wishing stars are to feel in so many good stories because the words there are written with so much love and emotions. Sometimes it's a long story, sometimes it's only a single line which touches me.
and sometimes it's a little picture.. without lines... without a quote... just a picture.
Like your icon above. It's wonderful to sit here, just looking at this little icon and there it is again - the wishing star.
I'm glad you are here, sweetie. I saddled my pony for the night through your journal. You'll see me now and then.
Love and hugs,
Julchen

When I look at the sky at my sister's place (who lives far from a city of any size, in northern California), I feel as though I could fall into it. Or, conversely, the stars look so close they could be suspended from black chandeliers directly overhead.
