We're at home now

I spent few hours at the vet. My new cat seems to be only one year and he has to put lots of weight on.
He got cortisone, painkillers and penicillin, anthelmintic therapy and was examined for ticks and fleas.
Not only was he beaten by someone, he has three 4 inch wounds caused by cuts. I can't tell you how angry I was and I still am.

He ate like a horse, he even did enjoy the pills.
Now he's sleeping in my little garden cottage and I'll keep him company tonight. The heater is still running and he loves the warmth.
It's unbelievable, I'm a stranger for him and it feels like he is living here always.
We'll have to work very hard to get him healthy, but I'm sure he'll make it.

Oh, sweetie, it just breaks my heart to think of someone who could do such an evil thing as to beat a harmless little creature like this. Josh is a beautiful little cat, and he's very fortunate to have found a loving guardian angel like you to care for him. I hope he'll be fine and the two of you will be friends for many years.

Me, too. It's absolutely heartbreaking. I don't hate anyone very easily, but people who are cruel to animals are at the top of my list.

Dear Julchen, what a lovely thing you've done. Josh is one lucky boy to have found his way to you. The fact that he's already so at ease in your company shows he knows you mean him no harm and want only to protect him.

He's very pretty. His coloring is similar to my Sam's, only Josh has more white in the front. I'm so happy that fate brought you two together. *hugs*

When I saw his injuries I became furious, very furious. How can people be so cruel to a little creature. I'll treat him well, that's for sure.
I'll tell you how he's going, no doubt. First of all he has to get some weight on and I have to take him to the vet daily for the next 10 days. But hey, that's so easy. He loves the vet, I think he feels he wants to help him.

Schön, dass es Leute wie dich gibt, die sich um solche armen Tiere kümmern.

Ich kann die Menschen nicht verstehen, die sich an unschuldigen Tieren vergreifen, sie verletzt und hilflos irgendwo liegen lassen oder an Autobahnraststätten aussetzen. Da bin ich dann fürs Auge und Auge - Prinzip. :(


Btw: Musst du die Tierarztkosten selber tragen? Sag einfach Bescheid, wenn du eine Spende brauchst.

Danke, Cat! Niemals hätte ich ihn einfach so gehen lassen können. Es war nicht leicht "ja" zu sagen obwohl's nicht schwer ist, wenn du weißt, was ich meine.
Aber die nächste drei Wochen wird er auf Vordermann gebracht, dann kastriert und dann darf er mit in die Wohnung. Es ist unglaublich, er bewegt sich, als ob er einfach hierher gehört ...
Und mein Tierarzt ist der beste, er verlangt nämlich gar nichts... Es freut ihn einfach, dass der kleine Racker ein Zuhause gefunden hat.
Heute hat er dann noch Durchfall gekriegt, putzen kann er sich nicht, weil er sein rechtes Beinchen nicht bewegen kann also übernehm ich das halt. Was soll's, es muss halt sein und es ist ja nicht für immer. Babies wickelt man ja auch :-))
Danke für das Angebot, meine Süße. Du bist ein Schatz! Wie gesagt, der Tierarzt verlangt nichts dafür, auch die Kastration ist umsonst.
