Update Josh

We just arrived home from the vet. He had to amputate his tail because it was broken, the sphincter will stay paralyzed and he can’t empty his bladder, so I have to do it .

But he is fully awake now and he’s still playing with his rubber ball.

I’m glad he’ll survive with a little help. I can tell you I’ll do everything for this little fellow to make him feel good.

My cat Mousy has been at the vet, too. He had to remove some teeth, I have to start diet with her because of a little nephritic infection but she’ll be ok in a few days.

So all in all it was a success for my kitties.

Poor Josh, what an ordeal! But I'm glad to hear he seems to be recovering. And I hope Mousy will diet without complaining too much; I remember I had to put my Venus on diet last year, and she nearly drove me crazy. She was meowing indignantly 24/7!:)

Mousy is still sound asleep because of the narcosis and we'll start the diet tomorrow. it will be hard work :-))

Oh, the little sweetheart! That's a new evidence of how strong those little persons are. He still plays with his ball! I hope he will feel much better soon! And I hope Mousy won't have to much aches in her poor mouth.

Oh, I hope Josh does as well with his tail amputation as my darling Gretta did. I've had Gretta about a year now and she is doing wonderfully well. When I started feeding her we couldn't touch her. Part of her tail literally fell off and left about half of it with a very nasty injury at the tip. The vet thinks she was injured by a car fan belt. (You know how cats climb up into car engines to get near the warm motor in winter.) I finally convinced her that I was a friend, took her to the vet to have her tail removed the rest of the way (she has a little stub about the size of a thumb) and had her spayed. I brought her home and she has slowly worked her way into the house hold. She doesn't seem to let the tail removal stop her from anything. I hope Josh does as well.

Josh is doing very well today. He has to say inside until tomorrow evening, it's very hard for him I can tell you. But soon it will be over and he can play again in the garden :-))
